ROBERT BROWN
Robert Brown is the Managing Director and a shareholder of Metalube Group.
Since 2011, Robert has been a founding member of the team that acquired Metalube. Since the business was acquired, the same team has also acquired Molyslip, United Oil Products and Vapor-Tek.
Robert also has other business interests in retail and agriculture. He has maintained an interest in agriculture since his degree at Newcastle University and subsequent role as farm manager for a large arable estate. He has a passion for the environment and is forefront for leading sustainable business practices in the Group.
Prior to joining Metalube, Robert was Managing Director of Herbert Brown Ltd a UK-based family-owned retailer. During his time there he acquired a wealth of experience in corporate finance and business management best practice.
Metalube Group employ more the 80 people worldwide operating from their manufacturing base in Irlam, Manchester with overseas subsidiaries in Brazil, China, India and UAE and export to more than 100 countries worldwide.
DOUGLAS HUNT
Douglas Hunt is Commercial Director and shareholder of Metalube Group and has just entered his 29th year in the industry.
Before Metalube, Douglas worked for Leeds based specialty lubricant business ROCOL. He held several commercial roles in this organisation finishing his time there as International Sales Director.
Douglas has always been heavily focused on international trade. During his career, Douglas has lived in Dubai for four years and Barcelona for four years. He has also travelled extensively visiting almost 70 countries.
Since 2011, Douglas has been a founding member of the team that acquired Metalube, subsequently completing further acquisitions increase the depth of the group.
